IN A DRAMATIC VOTE, challenging the future of football in England, goal-lines backed plans for a two day strike next weekend. “We are not Luddites, we are goal-lines,” commented goal-line representative, James Long. “This is a last resort, but they have really crossed the line.”
“No we haven’t,” responded goal-line technology, adding, “the goal-line’s view is very one-dimensional.”
The proposed strike will take effect during Saturday’s Barclay’s Premier League Matches with goal-lines threatening to periodically move forward and backward as well as sideways.
Asked about the expected turnout, Long responded, “We’re expecting a great uptake with very few picket lines crossed. Then again there will be no way of judging that.”
